2016 Circle of Excellence Announced, Brown Retains Platinum Rating

Performance Metrics Demonstrate Outstanding Management, Business Practices

In July 2016, PSMJ ResourcCOE Logo_2016_PLATINUM-WEBes, Inc. announced its 10th Annual Circle of Excellence Award recipients: 64 AEC firms (architectural, engineering and construction) firms, including Brown Engineers, from across the U.S.A. and Canada. PSMJ is the world’s leading management consultant to the architecture and engineering industry.

The Circle of Excellence Award was created in 2006 to honor the top 20% of participant firms in PSMJ’s annual A/E Financial Performance Benchmark Survey. This intensive audit gathers key metrics for profitability, overhead management, cash flow, productivity, business development, staff growth, and turnover, among other data. Strong results indicate strong management and sound business practices.

Consecutive Awards Earn Highest Platinum Rating

Brown Engineers submits to this third-party audit EVERY year because we want to be good stewards. It’s a tangible way to demonstrate our commitment to be reliable, responsive and accountable to our clients. Participants (including Brown Engineers) who consistently earn the Circle of Excellence rating across consecutive years received PSMJ’s Platinum designation for outstanding business practices and performance. We have earned this honor the past FIVE consecutive years.

“The key differentiator between PSMJ’s Circle of Excellence and other industry awards is that all firms in the A/E industry are eligible, and firms are not excluded based on firm type, size, gross revenue, net revenue, practice area or location.”

Kate Allen, P.E., Director of PSMJ’s A/E/C Industry Surveys
