Campuses
To Empower Minds, Empower Your Infrastructure
Modernize your critical systems for the best campus environment with BIM, electrical and plumbing engineering design
Technology brings globalization to colleges and universities today, allowing educators to reach students across the planet and around the clock. On campus, technology brings exciting changes to laboratories, media and data centers, even student unions and residential halls.
But while technology is a great servant, it can be a cruel master: ever changing, always intimidating, and subject to downtime when critical systems fail. When it comes to the many mechanical, electrical, and other critical systems throughout your campus, failure is most definitely not an option.
Imagine if you could trust your infrastructure again: the peace of mind, the security, the freedom to simply do your job, instead of wondering if the systems will do theirs. What if your next new construction design featured a Building Information Model (BIM) to coordinate its critical systems and reduce cost, speed construction, and improve the facility’s quality, performance, and lifespan?
Brown Engineers is dedicated to restoring peace of mind and security. We design the full range of lighting, power, electrical and mechanical systems including plumbing and fire protection design for campus operations: from power plants to boiler houses and chillers, HVAC renovations to complete new data centers.
We can also design and implement monitoring systems to protect these valuable investments. And yes, we can collaborate with your design team, operations staff, and contractors to develop a Building Information Model to maximize the value of your major campus improvements.
You can trust Brown Engineers to help you succeed in your critical mission of educating the next generation. Our campus design team is led by Rick Geraci and Mark Eakin: electrical and mechanical engineers, respectively, with over 30 years’ experience working with colleges and universities.
Rick serves on the task force to the Arkansas Legislative Joint Committee on Educational Facilities. In fact, he developed the electrical standards used by the State of Arkansas for all of its educational facilities. Mark Eakin’s mechanical team includes a LEED AP mechanical engineer and a BIM specialist to produce sustainable designs for projects requiring LEED or Green Globes certification.
