Melanie Richardson, PE, LEED AP BD+C, has joined Brown Engineers’ mechanical team. Melanie received her BSME from Louisiana Tech and has over ten years’ experience in mechanical engineering, with an emphasis in HVAC and building system design.
Scott Geurin, EI and Alex Trulove, EI recently earned their LEED Green Associate credentials from the USGBC. Scott and Alex are outdoor enthusiasts with a passion for sustainable design.
This February, Scott’s eco-friendly power distribution design for Entergy’s River Lights project helped Brown Engineers win the 2013-2014 ACEC-Arkansas Engineering Excellence Award for Special Projects.
The project, a gift from Entergy Arkansas of brilliant LED lighting systems for three iconic Little Rock bridges, has captivated thousands of commuters and visitors to our capital city in recent months.
It also captivated ACEC members and guests at the Engineering Excellence Gala, held at the Governor’s Mansion on February 27. Attendees voted this project as their favorite of all entries, earning Brown Engineers and Entergy the 2014 ACEC-Arkansas People’s Choice Award.
